Brenda M. Arellano

Brenda M. Arellano was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Mary’s University, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice & Criminology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Detail-oriented and driven, Ms. Arellano is committed to making an impact not only on the lives of her clients, but on the legal profession as a whole. As a first-generation lawyer, she carries a deep sense of purpose—determined to prove herself, excel in her practice, and help forge a path for others like her to succeed in the legal field. Growing up in El Paso, she witnessed many injustices affecting underserved communities. Her experiences shaped her passion for justice and fueled her desire to advocate for those who often lack a voice.

Prior to joining The NMW Law Firm, Ms. Arellano worked in public-service-oriented roles, including serving as a Community Supervision Officer in Bexar County, and working for the Tenant Eviction Relief Program at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. Her work supporting individuals navigating the criminal justice system, as well as helping tenants avoid eviction, strengthened her understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations, and deepened her commitment to client-centered advocacy.

Ms. Arellano is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts. Outside of her legal work, she enjoys bodybuilding, spending time with loved ones, and deepening her walk with God.
